leighperry 0 Posted January 24, 2006 BTW: I used the 1.5 stops centre filter for this shot. The vignetting is due to the low light levels a long time before dawn, with the eventual sunrise point right behind the rocks. Link to comment
mark_tso 0 Posted January 24, 2006 Like this image very much - just can't explane why.... may be because it is sensitive and minimalistic at the same time.. Link to comment

But again this golden arc of the shoreline really pulls me in where I linger with the beauty of these sculpted stones. Outstanding... Link to comment
leighperry 0 Posted January 25, 2006 Thanks all. David, more than most this one needs to be seen larger. The scan is not great, but here it is. Link to comment
david robinson 0 Posted January 26, 2006 Even more stunning, Leigh. I really like what you are getting at here. I will wait until you have finished, because they keep getting better, but I am going to buy one of these. Cheers... Link to comment
carsten_ranke 0 Posted January 28, 2006 Visiting your site is meditation. This one is my favourite, outstanding quality, ingenious composition. The lines in the foreground have a nice counterpart in the sky luminance. This pre-dawn light is extremely attractive, and the vignette there echoes the land patterns with the rock as pivotal point. A very good example how a centered horizon works. Link to comment
