melissapapajphotography 0 Posted January 24, 2006 Photo was taken while at the San Juan Capistrano Train Station. What do you think? Link to comment
john_weaver1 0 Posted January 24, 2006 Excellent - I take photos on railway property but would not have thought of this! It would be better to crop the bottom rail, and perhaps the distraction on the right-hand side. Might you revisit this scene when the creeper is in full leaf? Link to comment
melissapapajphotography 0 Posted January 24, 2006 I would love to revisit, but I am not sure when we are going back. I bet it is beautiful though. Thank you for your input. I will have to try it. Link to comment
emilia gheorghe 0 Posted January 24, 2006 I really like this shot but I'm afraid I have to agree with John. The bottom rail is distracting. Other than that, I like the fact that the door has a bit of shade on it..I think it adds to the beauty of the composition. Well captured! Link to comment
sef1664877429 0 Posted January 25, 2006 Don't crop! The side, at least, can't decide on the bottom rail. The touch of red and green on the right edge is really interesting and makes the composition much more clever. They also seem to be helping balance out the strong shadows on the door. The patches of white are a bit distracting, maybe burn them in a little, but I quite like the harsh lighting here. The bottom... mmm. I actually like the layers the bottom rail creates, and the way it feels out of place, but completely natural in the same way as the right edge does. The rail isn't straight, though, it slopes down(illusion, I assume), which against the lines and curves everywhere else in the photo, feels humourous. Just brought a smile to my face. Link to comment

alexguerra 0 Posted February 4, 2006 Very inspiring composition. The combination of tones and colors is a delight. I would crop the right side but but would leave the bottom rail. Cheers! Alex Link to comment
