salvatore.mele 1 Posted January 22, 2006 We were sailing theImram Southwards along the coast of Norway, and this was the last time we saw the midnight sun, just peeking abovethe horizon in the Lofoten Islands. The light was stunning, and I fear a camera does not make itjustice...does it? david robinson 0 Posted January 24, 2006 Salvatore, this certainly would have been a thrill. What a coastline you present with this mountain casting its shadow into the heavens. Awesome... Link to comment
atle.g 0 Posted January 27, 2006 The thumb look a bit murky, the small version look ok, but when seing it large, the beauty and mood really comes at me, Together with a neat comp where the left blue skyline balancing the red, this becomes a lovely shot. Link to comment
amalsircar 2 Posted January 28, 2006 Beautiful composition and stratification of colors and light. Link to comment
salvatore.mele 1 Posted January 29, 2006 David, it was a thrill. Actually, it was a month and a half of thrills one after the other! Atle, I know you're familiar with this beauty, so your comment is important for me. As for the blue/red balance, I've many shots from that night, still in the pipeline to be processed, and I guess one has a very dramatic effect like that. I'll fish it out in the near future. A.K., thanks. The stratification -to which a (digital?) camera does not make justice was really fascinating. Link to comment
