tholte 16,678 Posted January 22, 2006 Joe, you got the bad boys colors perfectly but you may want to jack up the focus a bit. The branches make for a nice background but maybe experiment with moving the cardinal into one of the "rule of thirds" quadrants. Link to comment
joe baker pine bush ny 0 Posted January 22, 2006 Thanks Tim for takeing the time to comment, all comments are welcome. i don,t know what the rule of third quardrents is. Link to comment
tholte 16,678 Posted January 23, 2006 Joe, the rule of thirds puts the subject of the photo at or near any of the intersecting grid lines if you divided the image into thirds. Here is an example of what I am talking about. The rule is made to be broken but it is effective in drawing the viewers attention. Link to comment
joe baker pine bush ny 0 Posted January 23, 2006 so basicly the rule calls for the subject to be off center. correct? Link to comment
tholte 16,678 Posted January 23, 2006 Joe, that is basically correct. Most often, not always, you want the main subject not to be centered. Link to comment
