I like it! I think selective desaturation works best when its use is not immediately apparent, as was the case for me here (maybe I'm just slow, but apart from the building walls, which could have been white or grey anyway, there can't be much colour in the rest of the pic?). I'm not sure whether I might prefer a little less saturation in the frame though, to still echo the door but not so overtly. After reading Len's comment, the branches do seem to convey a psychological barrier (of fear?) preventing access to the door. Nice work!
