Elstad 8 Posted January 19, 2006 Hello Chris, I'm not quite sure why but I really like this image and it's abstract quality. It's as if a face is present on the front of the figure below the umbrella. Cheers, Raymond Link to comment
mervar 0 Posted January 19, 2006 Very interesting with this high key and noise. reflection is realy strong. Link to comment
v 0 Posted January 26, 2006 Fantastic. I love it. And... perhaps I would make the shadow more shadowy (more transparent and ghostly) to lighten the bottom part of the image, but that would already be my interpretation of it, so ignore this comment:) I love your umbrella series. Smashing. Link to comment
cdaunis 0 Posted January 26, 2006 Thank you for the idea, Vi. I do believe I might try your suggestion. And thanks for stopping by :) Link to comment
cdaunis 0 Posted February 5, 2006 Vi, did you have something like this in mind? I've been messing with this shot for hours, and I can't seem to get what you want! Link to comment
v 0 Posted February 6, 2006 Chris, this is a great interpretation! The fact that she is now semi transparent makes her look almost like a reflection in itself, that gives another reflection on the ground! Amazing. Even though its not what I meant (May I try to show you with editing your picture?) it still looks fantastically cool. Link to comment
v 0 Posted February 6, 2006 well, something like this, I would think:) What do you say? Link to comment
cdaunis 0 Posted February 6, 2006 I love it! How did you do it? I may be a jack of all trades, but I'm master of none..:) Link to comment
v 0 Posted February 6, 2006 Chris, will tell you with pleasure :) I selected the area I wanted to edit (i.e. the shadow of the person) by using a free-hand selector (lasso) and did two things with that area: 1. with the help of layers, reduced contrast and increased lighting (then merged layers) 2. converted the image to duo-colour in sepia. That's all, folks :) Link to comment
