Yes, very good shapes and colors in a plain composition(though I don't have a habit to eat rusty iron).

I like the composition, colours, texture - I like this a lot. I don't know how rusty this is, but isn't it beatiful and frosty... Well seen.

Jim, thanks!

Shawn, glad to hear you cook. Yeah, I'm a sucker for shapes and colors. Thanks!

Hiroya, thanks for the welcome, and the kind words.

Elina, thank you for stopping by and for saying such lovely things.

As to how rusty it is: thoroughly. I'll attach a shot of the whole thing below.

It's basically a folded steel spiral under a meter in diameter, created by my friend, Craig Moore, who not only formed the overall structure, but, amazingly, welded on all those thousands of little "hairs". He likes working with steel, partly because of the changes in colors it undergoes after completion. I like it a lot, but found I couldn't "capture" it photographically to my satisfaction, so I moved in and took some closeups of aspects of it.

Hi Don, the closeups were really a good choice! And so there was no frost at all =( But you know, I am from north and have it all over, enough, these days... In spite of it or due to it, I keep my first impression =) The other thing, I can see from the whole pic of this piece of art, that it really is vertical. In my comment to photo "Scroll" I "almost" asked you, if you had rotated the pic =) Hoping to see more your good choices!
