Besides the evident photographic qualities of this shot (compo, light,...), I like the mood it conveys: the utter concentration of the child on the soup she is eating (or on the "action" of eating itself). Excellent timing/pose, with the prominent placement of the dish and the hand with the spoon really underlining that mood (appropriate & justified use of the lense distorsion effect indeed, making that dish and that hand look bigger than they are in reality).
