nichols 0 Posted January 16, 2006 Creepy Walnut Tree in my backyard. Thoughts? Suggestions? Link to comment
emyr_thomas 0 Posted January 16, 2006 Hey chris, I really like this photo, but I feel that the silhouette of the tree fills the frame a little too much, which takes some focus away from the beautiful sunset in the background. I would like to see the trunk of the tree further towards the left of the frame. I really like the unusual angle of the ground and horizon. Good work 6/6. Regards, Emyr Link to comment
salvatore.mele 1 Posted January 16, 2006 A very graphic shot, with interesting layerings of colours justapoxed to the texture of the foreground tree. I am not sure, though, that the right-hand side top branch adds to the picture: while moving left to right we've less and less density in the foreground and a sudden increase at the edge comes somewhat unexpected. abintraphoto 0 Posted January 18, 2006 Hey Chris, I like this - the slant is a nice touch too. The image really speaks for itself so I'm not going to go on about the many things that are nice about it .... Very Good. I would however recommend the *Canon Chainsaw Adapter* to remove the unsightly smaller tree near the center (or have the 'Amigos' hold it down for you) and the *Canon Twig Cloner* to clone out the twig in the upper right. It might be possible to crop from the top and right to minimize the twig but I hate to crop it too much. Sorry I'm rambling ... *EDIT - I just went back and scrolled the image up my screen and cropped the twig from the top - I think that's the way to go - jaa ..... (-; It's a really nice shot and would look great on the wall - that's the bottom line Buddy. Link to comment
nichols 0 Posted January 18, 2006 When do you think Canon will offer the 35mm f1.4 L with dual chainsaw? Do you think Adorama or B & H will carry these soon? Link to comment
abintraphoto 0 Posted January 19, 2006 Yesss - I see great fortune in this idea of ours ........... mostly with lumberjack / glamour photographers from the Pacific Northwest however - )-; Link to comment
