kslonaker 0 Posted January 14, 2006 Sitting for an hour was rewarded when this female cardinal landed nicely in the light. Did a little cloning of the background, but minimal. Comments? Link to comment

kslonaker 0 Posted January 15, 2006 Thanks, Rafik. Going out again in the morning since it's supposed to be chilly (30ish). Seems like the birds get really hungry when it's cooler. Link to comment

kslonaker 0 Posted January 15, 2006 Thanks, guys. Morning light is really nice. I just got through printing this one out 12x16 and it has great detail. It will be framed with a white mat and black frame for an exhibition. Link to comment
colin carron 58,916 Posted January 15, 2006 Not only is the detail good but the high contrast in tones helps the shot to appear sharper too. Beautiful light, Kim. Link to comment
kslonaker 0 Posted January 15, 2006 The females are a little harder to catch than the males, so I was happy a female landed in the light. Link to comment

cappoldt 0 Posted January 16, 2006 Nice light indeed, Kim! ONly thing I might update is the stick - the clipped branches make it look too deliberate. Also, I'd lose the border and stick with just black for the presentation. Patience rewarded! Link to comment
kslonaker 0 Posted January 17, 2006 Chris, I did a massive chopping job on the bush - it's right by the bird feeder and I had too many ruined shots by little branches. I'm hoping in a week or two the nubs will soften up a bit. :) Thanks for the comments, everyone! Link to comment

kslonaker 0 Posted October 11, 2010 Thanks, Mike. We used to live out in the country and had tons of birds around. Now we're in town and not so many... Link to comment
