will king 0 Posted January 14, 2006 Michael, so far the best shot I've seen from you. Love the hues in this with the mauves, viloets, and maroons. Excellent composition too. Link to comment
msoskil 0 Posted January 14, 2006 The photographers were included intentionally in order to show scale. IMO, the compostion would not have been as strong without them. I actually had to wait for about 1/2 hour for them to get into the right spot. Link to comment
aepelbacher 0 Posted January 15, 2006 I really like this one, too. But, without the little structure in the foreground, it's *just another* shot of cathedral rock (although, I need to be careful how I say that, because even if I HAD ever been to Arizona with my camera, I doubt that I could take a picture like this!) :-D I have the same questions as I did on the other image. msoskil 0 Posted January 15, 2006 Thanks for your comments. After browsing through your work, I doubt you would have taken a picture like this also had you gone to Arizona. Yours would have been far superior. Thanks for taking the time to look. Link to comment
john falkenstine 1 Posted January 16, 2006 nice rocks but these colors are off. Was this your intent? Link to comment
msoskil 0 Posted January 16, 2006 I've found that Velvia 50 often has a magenta color cast. I didn't mind it and thought it worked for the picture, so I didn't correct it. Thanks for your comment. Attached is a color corrected version (just a quick 30 second PS fix, if I spent more time I probably could have done a better job.) Let me know if you like that one better. Link to comment
