salvatore.mele 1 Posted January 13, 2006 Finding the way among icebergs, in one of the last bays a thousand kilometers from the North Pole, in the middle of the night, is not as bad as it can seem... wait for the fog to roll in! I always liked the contrast between the colours of the foul-weather gear and the rest of the shot: what about you? Link to comment
snakecharmer 0 Posted January 13, 2006 The colors are nice, but the composition feels a little awkward. Link to comment
nanette 0 Posted January 13, 2006 Nice lines and mood in this shot. This reminds me something I would see in Natioanl Geographic. Link to comment

blowingsky 0 Posted January 14, 2006 This image has some nice elements, but I don't get any sense of scale or event, and so the (man or woman) is pointing at nothing much more than flatness. It is possibly because I am seeing a small image on a monitor. Still, this image has none of the direction and event of your previous image, the approach to the volcano. And it does not involve me as completely with the elements of being at sea. Link to comment

dens 4 Posted January 17, 2006 Dramtic, sounds like you had a nice trip. If you are ever in Postsmouth UK sounds your fog horn and i will be there to take yu photo. Nice shot, love the drama and the red works just fine. Link to comment
salvatore.mele 1 Posted January 18, 2006 As an answer to some of your points, actually, I've to confess this is staged. We had thankfully negotiated the bergs (it would get much worse a few hours later though) and found this spot to anchor for a few hours of semi-sleep. I just asked the guy to point somewhere for the sake of the shot. At any rate, the trip was a unique experience and, indeed, each photo felt special this being so remote a place. Link to comment
