I get a much more immediate sense of launching into flight with this rendition of a (Brant? Canadian?) goose than a bushel load of fully detailed and "perfectly" lit typical shots. The aim here seems to be to move some of the experience of taking to the sky into the viewer and documentation be damned. I love it. Particularly the right wing and the steadfast neck and head and the angle between both.

They do get up and move fast. You have to be in the right spot-right time. Good photo. Sometimes your there and sometimes not.
