I think it's a clever picture with a very good use of b&w. Interesting point of view. Unusual hut, strange use of the net.

I like the washed out background and the hut itself looks good. It would be interesting to see the original to compare.

Colin, here is the print. You can see it lends its self to BW quite well. We are going to the same area of France this summer, so I hope to get something better, if I can.

Eye catching Peter, it immediately made me think of the 'war machines' from War of the Worlds - the Jeff Wayne musical version. It looks incredibly precarious. I don't quite see what's going on along the top edge though, as an indication of the waterline it doesn't really work for me. You could lose it entirely, or perhaps contrive in a silhouetted boat? I'd do the former.

Hello Ben, I think that the line at the top is either the other side of the Gironde or is some mud in mid stream. I'm never sure about whether to clone those out or not. In the France shot "Quiberon picnic", I did remove the last vestiges of a distant shore, but wasn't entirely sure it worked.
