HELL on HEAVEN

labuenaluz

I captured this awesome and brief moment of light with an inminent late day alpine storm uprising in the summits of Guadarrama Sierra, just after some days of heavy snows and a meter of fresh powder, there was no other way to barely move up there without traverse skies or snow shoes. With the given stunning conditions and near the abyss, I really felt like being in cold Hell on Heaven!

Seguro que ya lo sabes: absolutamente espectacular. Una autentica preciosidad llena de fuerza por los brutales contrastes que se aprecian.

This is an amazing photo Ferrando. The colour of the mist reflecting the low sun creates a great contrast against the snow and darker sky. I also love the positioning of the snow covered tree in the photo. Having it off-center allows a better balance against the mist.

Great capture, keep up the great work, and also very well done on your portfolio. It is most impressive

Such a lovely image, the feeling of hot and cold well conveyed. Looks like the proverbial "edge of the world" with the clouds arising out of the depths. Well seen and captured.

A most original and attractive winter landscape ! The golden backlight in the high fog/ clouds is appealing, and threatening at the same time. Admirable, how often you manage to come to such dramatic light situations !
