SW Face of Denali

Again, like so many other shots you brought back from your trip, this is intoxicating in the amount of detail and in the capture of the scenery. I find it -indeed- a "portrait" which conveys the stately appearence of the mountain.

 

Among the many things I like, the justapoxition of the blurred edges of the cloud and the sharp texture of the rock and the ice, and that blink of blue on the glacier, recalling the sky.

 

Speaking of the sky, in first instance I wished for a tad more over the top, but later the image grew on me, I repeat, as "stately": an aspect which might have been lost with more sky.

Okay, after looking through a bunch of the stuff in your portfolio, I am not only impressed with your photography, but I am also super impressed that you have climbed Denali. Bravo! These images that you took while up there are gorgeous. Makes me wish I were a bit more athletic & able to do something like that to get my own shots!
