Very interesting shot. I would be curious to see what if could have done without the foreground (in a more abstract way) or with only the reeds in front of the kelp bed ?

I like the foreground and the kelp in this though I would like more sense of looking over the cliff. I had a plan to do something like this when I was next on the south coast cliffs here in UK. The plan involved putting the camera on a tripod, tripping the self-timer then holding the tripod out over the cliff. I reckoned I could take a good shot and still not kill myself. How did you do this one?

Colin, there was no railing to hang on to, so I just leaned out and took the photo. It wasn't as bad as it sounds.
