sondra kick 0 Posted January 12, 2006 If you look over the cliff you will see the large kelp bed in the Pacific Ocean. All comments welcome. Cheers, Sondra Link to comment

jim kerr 0 Posted January 13, 2006 Gorgeous image Sondra, your colors are out of sight and the composition just couldn't be better.....Jim Link to comment
jim kerr 0 Posted January 13, 2006 Sondra, I just noticed that I said almost exactly the same things as Don and Tibor, really I make it a point to not read the other comments before I write mine.....Jim Link to comment
henrimanguy 0 Posted January 13, 2006 Very interesting shot. I would be curious to see what if could have done without the foreground (in a more abstract way) or with only the reeds in front of the kelp bed ? Link to comment
colin carron 58,916 Posted January 14, 2006 I like the foreground and the kelp in this though I would like more sense of looking over the cliff. I had a plan to do something like this when I was next on the south coast cliffs here in UK. The plan involved putting the camera on a tripod, tripping the self-timer then holding the tripod out over the cliff. I reckoned I could take a good shot and still not kill myself. How did you do this one? Link to comment
sondra kick 0 Posted January 14, 2006 Colin, there was no railing to hang on to, so I just leaned out and took the photo. It wasn't as bad as it sounds. Link to comment

kleintje 0 Posted January 17, 2006 Wonderful composition and I just love the deep blue of the ocean with the snake-like brown reeds! Link to comment
colin carron 58,916 Posted January 17, 2006 Sondra, I'm glad it was not as bad as it sounds because it sounds bad! Link to comment
ada-ipenburg 0 Posted January 17, 2006 Great picture of natures beauty, Sondra though I think it must have been very dangerous to take such a shot. Next to a great photographer you're also a real daredevil;-) Excellent job! Many greetings, Ada:~) Link to comment
