biskamp 1 Posted January 11, 2006 i thought that the broken mirror image of this well known site might make the picture interesting Link to comment
salvatore.mele 1 Posted January 13, 2006 An interesting feature, apart from the skillful reflection and composition (including the branch to the top right) is the way such strong warm colours of the rocks get "cooled down" into the reflections. This holds for the largest reflections, where we can still make up the outline of the rocks. Funny enough, when the reflection to the left is much less defined, just matter of some red hues on the water, we have the opposite effect, of the rocks actually warming the soil. All in all, I like it! Link to comment
biskamp 1 Posted January 14, 2006 thanks salvatore, the fact that the mirror image on the left is blurred results from surface waves. it was quite windy then. only the very shallow ponds in the foreground have smooth surface, since no surface wave are excited if the water is too shallow Link to comment
