Impromptu mini-session with a good friend :)

This is a good friend of mine who I managed to convince to pose for acouple of shots :)

Lighting: natural mid-afternoon sunshine plus fill flash.

Aaahh... You are showing improvement here!! I like this shot because she is well seated and relaxed; her head is straighter than in your previous exercises. That's the right way to go! Now what you need to change in the future is the background - foliage is not ideal. In this case, it's ok because her hair is straight but what when someone's hair is frizzy? It will merge into the trees... Try and use a plain background next time.

Hi Shambhala, hi Massimo! Thank you both for your comments :) Yes, I can see how the foliage can be a distraction. Perhaps if I'd used a wider aperture lens it would've helped throw it out of focus more, but no excuses! Plainer backgrounds it is! ;)
