Lovely image, I'd like to see the colour version, too. I suppose that there are mainly blue tones (sky, sea ...)

A successful perspective that works even better than its brother: here the perspective is also helped by the human figure in many ways (not only because it adds measure of the bridge). It's not only an -outstanding- architecture shot (perfectly crafted and contrasted), but also a human reflection about loneliness and the smallness of the human figure when facing such wonders. GREAT.

I think that a composition centered on the only curve of the bridge, without the benches and the man, nor the grass foreground, would be very better. The black & white tones are perfect.

Muy buena foto, tanto de la arquitectura del puente, como de la perspectiva que genera, acompanyada de la espectacularidad del cielo.

Very good picture, The architecture of the bridge, perspective abg great sky image.

Saludos.

Thanks a lot to everyone for the valuable feedback on this one.

Charles, I believe you were referring to a title that I changed shortly after I posted the photo and now I don't remember which was... Anyway this new title "Gama" is part of the name of this bridge "Vasco da Gama"

Maria, now I don't have here the original version to post, but for me it had quite dull colours, mainly blue and green grass on the foreground.

Sigfrid, there are two human figures in fact, a guy and a girl lying over him, thus the apparent strange proportion of his body (the legs belong to the girl :)

Henry, thanks for the suggestion. I may try it if I'll have another chance.

Alexandre, another great shot. I'd crop off most of the foreground grass though because it does not add anything to the image.

My view is similar to Jerry's. I see this as containing the elements of a fantastic photograph. But I think you need to walk right up behind the people on the bench, or use a telephoto, and get close to them. Overall, the scene is very dramatic and your B&W technique is excellent -- the tones here are really beautiful.

Thanks Chris for the suggestions. By the time I posted this photo, I felt that that piece of foreground was needed to give more depth to the composition, but now I rather think I could dismiss it.
