Rein, commendably, you have chosen a setting that provides a number of opposites to provide contrast for your image: warm and cool, soft and hard, rugged and graceful. The streaming laces provide a nice lead-in however I wish they were not so straight and that bends were not so angular. Unfortunately, the static side by side placement of the slippers works against the implied grace and movement associated with the objects. You have brought a number of very fine elements together but it comes short of the drama that was possible.
