reprint 0 Posted January 29, 2006 Laurie, please take or leave my comments as i dont have much experience with this genre. I like the lines created by the pose and the shadows and highlights. Two things though, firstly the eyebrows being cut off bother me for some reason; secondly i am not sure what emotion she is portraying. Perhaps a neutral face to draw attention to the lines and tones? would be interested to learn more. thanks Link to comment
lauriee 0 Posted January 29, 2006 Barry, Thank you for taking the time to critique this! Well there is probabley a reason you are having trouble with this one. This wasn't posed. I had been taking photos of her most of the evening and we had gotten downright silly. She had a turbon on and she was posing as a fortune teller for me and I snapped this shot as she took her hair out of the turbon and shook it out. Which is why her eyebrows were cut off..I just suddenly felt inspired to shoot the pic and didn't have time to line things up properly. When I saw the picture I was intrigued by the lines of her neck, shoulders and arms. I also liked the way the light played on her skin. I thought it was rather sensual. Thanks again Laurie Link to comment
