sherwinjames 0 Posted January 9, 2006 Dieter, Very nice. Clean, sharp and vivid, like so many of your other shots. Only thing I could possibly think that might make this shot better is if the shovel was to the side of the people, so that you can see its silhouette. Good work. Link to comment
salvatore.mele 1 Posted January 11, 2006 Dieter, this is a very scenic shot, and works very well. In particular, I like the aesthetic effect of the transition from a cold blue top of the picture to the first lights of dawn to land, isolated by all the black of the silhouettes, to the flames. Compositionally, I was about to comment against the cramped human figures and the empty space at their sides, but -after all- this is what one would do with a campfire indeed... move close to it. So, the composition works fine indeed in conveying the message. I am enjoying this new desert series of yours. Link to comment
