ianflindt 0 Posted January 11, 2006 Wonderful wide angle landscape. Some may have issue with your placing the trees so centrally, but I personally think it works well - they are, after all, a beautiful and essential element. Link to comment
arnulf 0 Posted January 12, 2006 It's a very fine shot. But, as often happens when photographing snow, it's a little underexposed. When there's lots of white, the camera thinks it's grey, and adjusts the exposure a little too low. I took the liberty to adjust exposure and levels slightly to make the snow look truly white. Hope you like it. Great pic. Arnulf Link to comment
Fishermang 0 Posted January 13, 2006 Thanks for the comment and the suggestion, Arnulf! However, this was shot when the sun was disappearing. I let it be darker, because it was how it looked like in the real life. Maybe I should strengthen the "orange" colour of the snow to make it look less grey? Link to comment
arnulf 0 Posted January 13, 2006 That might work, Ramunas. Of course, you know best what it looked like in real life. It's just that the histogram of the original shot showed almost nothing on the white end. With so much snow in the picture, that would normally mean that the camera has underexposed it a bit to compensate. If you just try to tweak the right end of the levels, it will conserve the evening feeling, but make the snow look less grey. Link to comment
