baldurbirgis 0 Posted January 8, 2006 Deserted ... Number 3 of 3 in a serie. The Nature in a Visit. Thanks in advance for your time and thoughts. Link to comment
baldurbirgis 0 Posted January 8, 2006 This is what is left of the house (Klyppstadir) where the priest lived. A waterfall in background through the window in middle to the right. Maybe it looks like tears in eye but somehow I think it is still a home with open arms ! Link to comment
pnital 36 Posted January 8, 2006 Baldur, the other two have still the shape of a house, this one has a very unusual form of what is left...it really looks like open arms as if saying, come to my memories,I was a beauty once...time can be cruel. interesting series. Pnina Link to comment
baldurbirgis 0 Posted January 14, 2006 Pnina, thank you very much for your thoughts. This is exactly my feeling for this "house". I have been interested in deserted farms in Iceland since 1978. Best regards, Baldur Link to comment
colin carron 58,916 Posted January 14, 2006 An interesting and poignant collection of images, Baldur. I find with ultra wide angles it is important to judge how far away from the subject to take the shot as too close and it has no context and too far away it disappears unto nothing. Your three shots are all very well judged imo though the waterfall takes a bit of spotting at PN size. Link to comment
davidorea 1 Posted January 15, 2006 Very nice shot, Baldur. Excellent use of light and shadows. The viewpoint is great. Link to comment

baldurbirgis 0 Posted February 4, 2006 Armindo, many thanks for your visit and thoughts. The priest used to live in this house long time ago. Now it seems to be natural carpet there. The waterfall in the window reminded me of tears in a eye. I felt the house missing the family who once lived there. Link to comment
