Deserted ... Number 2 of 3 in a serie. When I drove by this house I

decided to make a photo of it on the way back home. When I came back

there was a new car to the right side of the house. I felt unlucky

until I noticed a young boy in the background with a kite. Most

likely his parents was inside the house and perhaps it was once

their home or their parents or grand parents ?? Thanks in advance

for your time and thoughts.

Great photo. I love the tones and textures in this photo. Very interesting sky. I just wish the kite was more noticeable. I wouldn't have known it was a kite unless you mentioned it.

Still the roof of the house seems to be in good shape.... Beautiful capture of nostalgic mood, Baldur!

Will, thank you for your comment. I should have mentioned that it was fog in the mountains with this interesting light below. The boy was to faraway with the kite. I waited until it was in the right position in the upper left corner.

Thank you for your visit. You are right my friend, when it was in the right diagonal position, it was like a seagull. Greetings Baldur

I like the shot- don't think the kite really adds that much to it, it's good on it's own. Looks like a nice location to live, even if the house isn't so hot.

You never can tell, though, there are people that live in decrepit houses and drive nice cars- they may live there still.

I like the detail of the house and the sense of the weather closing round the house. The kite is too small unless one knows it is there when it becomes significant. Good saturated colours.

Tye, thank you very much for your comment. Glad you think so. I have been interested in deserted farms ever since 1978. It is hard to explain why. It can be difficult to make good photos of those subjects. Luck and knowlegde work sometimes well together. Best regards, Baldur
