Nice idea but your background subject is a bit dark for my taste. It's dark enough on my monitor that when my eyes try to study the image of the kid a little more, the candle would pull them away. So your main subject is the candle, which if there is a message, is a bit deep for me.

Thank you very much Thai Ta for your comment, but it's not idea. It's life from 1990s in Serbia&Montenegro (former Yugoslavia)...!

Nice idea (composition) for a picture... As a kid growing up in Viet Nam at one time, I do remember the kerosene lamps and such living conditions.

Great beautiful composition. Photo that takes the eyes.
