alecee 0 Posted January 8, 2006 Taken on window ledge. Checking on bokeh/sharpness of Nikkor 105mm F2.8 macro lens on Nikon D200. Link to comment
j_m_lee_photography 0 Posted January 8, 2006 very sharp in detail and lighting. Good DOF too. Link to comment
blackdogstudio 1 Posted January 8, 2006 ...I like the control of depth of field. It really highlights the horse. On the word of bokeh for its' own sake...maybe a slightly smaller aperture would be able to accent the bokeh without letting the background compete with the foreground. Sincerely, Kelvin. alecee 0 Posted January 8, 2006 OK Kelvin, but wouldn't F2.8 be better for bokeh? ^_^ Link to comment
julio_segura_carmona1 4 Posted January 9, 2006 Excelente estudio de la figura, un buen detalle y un fondo borroso, por una abertura adecuada, un cordial saludo Alec. Link to comment
blackdogstudio 1 Posted January 10, 2006 ...I was just thinking though that there are two features of bokeh that really stand out. One is the degree of blurring while the other is the pattern that the blurred areas make. A slight narrowing ( by a fraction of a stop) may allow a pattern to emerge in the blurred area. I hope this helps. Sincerely, Kelvin. Link to comment
kim_tural 0 Posted January 12, 2006 I think the bokeh is wonderful, brighter than the subject and full of soft colours and makes the dragon really pop! Link to comment
alecee 0 Posted February 8, 2006 Very nice piece John, I got quite a collection myself since I go to China quite a lot. Link to comment
John Peri 1,029 Posted February 11, 2006 Thank you Alec. I removed my picture of a similar piece now that you have seen it. This is your posting and not mine. Very best wishes, John Link to comment
