aepelbacher 0 Posted January 7, 2006 Here are some colors that you aren't used to seeing from me, huh? :-) While I was in Southwest France, I fell in love with these street fairs that they had in different villages every morning. They were fabulous!! We went to one every single morning ... drove all over the countryside looking for them. So ... I thought I would have a good opportunity there to add variety to my portfolio!! :-) Photographically, I love the colors, but am not happy with the lack of sharpness in the foreground or the strange space behind the bins of candy on the left. jayme 0 Posted January 8, 2006 Lou Ann- I just love these new images. I just couldn't help but play. Everyone here is asleep, I'm the insomniac, so I had time to play. I knew you wouldn't mind me practicing my art of play :) I feel so out of practice! Link to comment
sarahunderhill 1 Posted January 8, 2006 Well, I am so glad you're posting these photos! I want to see more, I have never been to France... I love this. What got me was the stripes...and the signs, that's what makes this shot stand out. There's alot of shapes and color... I wanted to crop this into a square...but I love what Jamye did...what did we do w/out PS? Show us more photos from these fairs. Good work, good to see Jamyme back, too! Link to comment
afterthoughts 0 Posted January 8, 2006 Lou Ann is posting again. Jayme is playing again, and the candy is looking really good. It must be all the dazzeling color in this image. Link to comment
colin carron 58,916 Posted January 8, 2006 Nice one, Lou Ann! I am a bit surprised you say street markets aren't common in the US. Is that so? I like the diagonal, receding lines here oh - and the colours! Link to comment
kslonaker 0 Posted January 8, 2006 Great colors, Lou Ann. I immediately wanted something done with that upper left corner, too, and I think Jayme nicely handled it. Link to comment
rkynast 1 Posted January 8, 2006 A wonderful and happy shot, Lou Ann - these colors just jump out at me. Thanks for these new posts. Link to comment
sondra kick 0 Posted January 8, 2006 Lou Ann, I love your sweet image, those stripes really jump out and say look at me. Good angle of the sweet bin. Sondra Link to comment
cjrupp 0 Posted January 9, 2006 Sweet shot Lou, pun intended, jumps of the page. Great color. Like Sarah, I want to see more. Link to comment
wilsontsoi 0 Posted January 10, 2006 Nice catch, Lou Ann. I do like the composition and the fun colors, but wish the bin (and corresponding letterings on bag) in front of Gummy Bears be more in focus. I like Jayme's suggestion as it eliminates background clutter and emphasize the candies and bags even more. ^_^ Link to comment
kleintje 0 Posted January 10, 2006 Lou Ann, I like the bright, sweet colours in this photo, with the stripes of the bags leading your view. Makes me want to dive in and buy some of them... :) Like Wilson, I like what Jayme did to eliminate the background. Link to comment
dens 4 Posted January 10, 2006 Like the frame posted above, Very photo makes me want some sweets I like the the way the boxes repeat into the distance. Link to comment
aepelbacher 0 Posted January 10, 2006 Funny thing is, the candy does not go off into the distance (obviously). I'm glad you said that, though, as I cropped it just at the end of the row of candy, because I wanted to make it look like it went on into infinity. Yay! :-) Link to comment
v 0 Posted January 10, 2006 Lou Ann, great image!! And... Jayme - wonderful interpretation!!! superb, my day just become... sweeter :)) Link to comment
dguindon 0 Posted January 11, 2006 I like being able to see 'most of' the translucent Gummys all surrounded by Candycane colours. Perfect composition too! Nice photo. Link to comment
