Elaine , this is a very nice photo. I would think about cropping the top off the photo, down to your Princess's hair. I find the top of the photo too bright and distracting. It pulls the eye away from her face. Its still a very nice photo with a great feel to it. Thanks for sharing it.

Is this what you mean? Or more? I think you gave me this advise on another picture of the mom and baby and I absolutley loved it so much more after taking your advise. Thank you so much for taking the time to help me with your comments. Sometimes it the little things that make such a differant impact on a photo. By the way I see that you live in Phoenix Az. That is so weird because I just wrote to another poster that gave me some advise on another picture today and she was also from Phoenix. I am in northern Arizona in the Prescott area. Thanks Again

. Elaine, I did not realize that she was playing in Arizona Mud! Something we will not have, if we don't get some rain or snow soon. Yes that is the crop I was talking about ,to me it brings your eye back to the center of the photo.I hope you do not mind me giving a example.

Dont mind at all!!! I love it with the more crop and the burn to darken the background. Thank you for all your time and help. I am uploading all of my favorite photos on here from the last year so I will be posting more and would really appreciate your constructive critiques.

This is a really precious capture. I love the mud on her little hands & toes :) I see where others think the crop should be a little different & the background modified:) My personal opinion is that there should be a little more room on the right & the levels adjusted to give a little more contrast. This would help with the background distractions. I hope you don't mind but I also felt compelled to play. I cloned in little room on the right, cloned the tree spot out & added a little blur for softness. Here's what I see.

It is such a wonderful capture because you captured a lovely triangular form. My eyes roam the triangle from hands to face & back again. I think it is very difficult to capture a significantly pleasing image when the subject is centrally placed, the eyes are not stimulated. But, when the subject forms a triangle, the eyes & brain are happy :) Making for a very pleasing image. Great job! I wish it were mine :)
