sarahunderhill 1 Posted January 8, 2006 Howard, I like what you are doing here...The top of the flowers could be too light...could be my monitor. Link to comment
afterthoughts 0 Posted January 8, 2006 Hi Sarah, Strange situation. The color was very light almost white. Look at the leaves compared to the flower. I am not sure how to handle exposure for the next time? Link to comment
kslonaker 0 Posted January 8, 2006 Interesting work, Howard. I've taken shots of dying flowers, too. You can always take two shots, with one slightly underexposed, and put them together in PS if you have an extreme range of contrast. Link to comment

alexandra rauh 0 Posted January 8, 2006 I guess, she dies like she lived beautiful. You show character. I love the texture, like You would have used a brush. Light and color mixes well. Link to comment

kleintje 0 Posted January 10, 2006 Don't know really... I like the approach you used, but there's something about the composition. Could have to do with the (direction, distribution and intensity of the) lighting or the vast dark background. (but of course could also just be that I'm too much into going as close to a flower as possible...). Can't really put my finger on it just now... Link to comment
wilsontsoi 0 Posted January 10, 2006 I'm so tempted to crop off right to square and dial down the flash 1/3 to 2/3 on the left to retain colors. Nice idea on the reflective surface, Howard. Link to comment
jayme 0 Posted January 11, 2006 Nice detail & color. I, like Wilson, am tempted to crop a little. Always fun to try something new! :) Link to comment
aepelbacher 0 Posted January 14, 2006 I really like this, as is. The colors are wonderful because there is quite a range of them. I also like your crop - there's always something about negative space in an image that makes it more aesthetic to my eye. Very nice! Link to comment
