This is nice, but I miss the dark brown eyes of the color version as well as the pink lips and pink knuckles. If I were working on the color version, I would change the color on the nose -- looks like make-up -- too pink, maybe the cheeks as well. Maybe a subtel desaturation or put it in LAB color mode and reduce the magenta.

I like this, as a matter of fact, I like them all. Does Serena like the picture?

As for comparisons with the Mona Lisa, I remember many, many years ago when I was an art history student, I went to the National Gallery in part to take a look at their new acquisition, Leonardo's Genevra de' Benci, for which they had paid the astronomical sum, in those days, of $3million (I think). I thought that was absurd...until I saw the painting, and I said to myself "It was worth every penny!" Imagine what Leonardo would have done with digital photography.

Like you, Marco, I have daughters to photograph, only I have six of them. Right now, however, I am concentrating on one of my granddaughters.

Ciao (BTW I like the new self-portrait you've put on your site)

That I had a challenge with two and a son! Eh!Eh!Eh! Serena, however, is the one that I have the most difficult time photographing since she does not like her pictures taken. In fact she does not like this one, go figure.

Thanks for the comment on my portrait, my Mel took it, George Pennington worked it and there is the result. They are the only ones that can make my face look half way decent.

Thanks again.

Ah Marco, I did not notice you uploaded a B&W version of Serena.

I like them both but in this version her eyes are very penetrating.
