Second version of the same subject submited the 10-Nov-05. Here I

wanted to shot the street and the people walking in. Owing to the

leaned position of the camera, the verticals were very divergent.

With Photoshop I have put them back parallel, but in the same time

the people where compressed. I have strechted them at the most

without change the height of the photo. That is why they seems a bit

small and fat.

Great shot, however I think you should have left the lens "distortion" alone, and not used photoshop.

The people in the background look terribly pixelated.

Intresting shot, this is the second in a serie, in my opinion a third photo with only the reflection and just a little part of a person, maybe the legs, will be more intresting, a less wider lens, such a 35 mm can also be a further possibility.

I like your original one much better -- beautiful geometric pattern is clear without any embellishing distractions that here take attention away...

Great idea and well executed. The reflection and the geometric shapes work wel in this version tough the shot is strong so both work well.

I like the composition, with three points on the foto that grab attention. the square in the front, the upper left bright spot and the circular pattern in the middle. In my oppinion the contrast in the upper left is too much, it makes the people look fake.

I like both versions, especially the B&W of the wet pavement is extremely attractive. Completely different shots, this one makes me look back and forth, the other version (possibly cropped a bit left side) is more calm.

My eye is drawn to the reflections in the framed puddle and the pattern of paving stones flowing into the puddle. For me the people in the background are just that, and in fact I only noticed their short fat problem after reading your paragraph. Though I knew they were there, they hadn't been the focus of my attention.
