What I like the most is the interaction of three layers for clouds, sky, pavement with the vanishing perspective of the line of houses - well seen. B&W conversion is very good.

Henri, I much prefer this in black & white. The black & white version pulls out the lines and texture very well.

I suppose that I have to go with the others who like the B&W version better. The fact that the window panes are different tones suffices for the interest that you were looking for. If you cropped a teeny, tiny little bit off of the right, you would lose the touch of curb in the bottom right corner, and the row of homes would look like they go on into infinity. I like this!
