I've been wanting to comment on some of your new photos from Portugal, but only now I found the time. I like the way you got the beautiful blue sky here. The clouds add a nice texture to it. The light you've captured is certainly faithfull to the typical one that can be seen on this time of the year in Lisbon.

Ciao Alexandre,

I do not have much more time either ...

Now I am preparing my session for the next EGU Assembly in Vienna. As I was saying, since I am really working (for money, not voluntarily), the time left for photo.net is much less ...

Many thanks for your comments, I read them, just needed more time with the answers.

Yes the light was nice in November, but in February I liked it more.

BTW which is the ideal time to stay in Lisbon longer (like a month): rather around March-April or summer/late summer?

many thanks

Maria

Bridges count to some of the greater works done contemporarily in

Lisbon. (last year the International Association for Bridges and

Structural Enginnering hold the annual symposium there, but I cound

not attend ...) This is one of them.

Looking forward for more comments

many thanks

thanks for the comment.

Actually I do not speak Portuguese, but who knows ... for the moment I managed to notice that the words which finish in Romanian with "tate" finish in Portuguese with "dade": facultate, universitate, libertate etc. And we also use the preposition "de".

Obrigada!

Dear Maria,

You may also want to add to your list the word..Saudade ! It's always great to see our city through the perspective of a foreigner eyes...

Ciao,

[how do you say "Ciao" in Portuguese? :)]

thanks for revisiting! (my webpage)

I revisited Lisbon, that's where the new photos come from. Although the first one were better, I think. But then I was just looking for the town, while now for various specific things (like buildings from the first half of the XXth century)

"Saudade" is that typical fado-sadness or am I wrong?

Many thanks

Maria

PS: In Lisbon I talked fluently Italian this time. People seemed to understood, since I've got correct answers, which I understood on my side again. My supervisor, who is Portuguese, is a bit surprised ...

Dear Maria,

From the pictures taken at Expo I understand you were not so lucky with the weather...Yes we generally understand Italian very well, although Spanish is of course much more easier for us...I'll come from time to time to visit you and check your latest work ! Adeus !

Olá Mario!

Many thanks for the help with the language :)

I'm afraid I finished the Lisbon photos for now ... will go over to Romania (when I'll have time to upload some, probably last week), but it is a good opportunity for you to see my country, in return :) :)

Adeus!

Maria
