Grand Canyon Sunset

Not quite up to your others in the Grand Canyon Sunset -series which are just breathtaking. I feel that this is overall too 'heavy' for my taste, but still one that I can only dream of achieving...

I'm not sure what the "heavy" is referring to, but I think this is a great shot. Most Grand Canyon shots are washed out in the sky, but not with this one. You've managed to capture clouds, which is rare at the GC. Good job on this one.

Really like the image, such a pity its so 'square' though, would have preferred a more rectangular aspect

Thanks everyone for your nice comments. I too liked the drama of the firing clouds. It was cold and EXTREMELY windy afternoon, and I was there for a long time. I kept hoping the clouds would turn red and it finally did!

I think both are awesome, but I like the rectangular one the best!

I think you might be able to open-up, bottom half of the image by 1/2 stop ... it would improve the details .. IMO
