pete w 0 Posted January 4, 2006 Your photo would do better as a portrait rather than a landscape. The eye reads from left to right so what happens here is the subject which is very good then travels to the horse in the background which has little importance to your photo. Try covering the right side with a close crop to the right facing side and see how the subject horses pop out at you. Also don't be afraid to use flash around horses as it does not scare them, this will fix your shadows and give equal strength to both subjects. Good you caught this as one thing I have learned about horse photography is patience will give you the rewards. Take Care, Pete Link to comment
