pjmeade 12 Posted January 2, 2006 My daughter watching my wife ride near Burnham Beeches. What do you think? Link to comment
doug bowles 0 Posted January 2, 2006 Excellent, sharp portrait with very good DOF control. Link to comment
blowingsky 0 Posted January 2, 2006 Very lovely portrait. DOF is perfect and composition is faultless. I also like the textures surrrounding your daughter and the even lighting. The only point I could mention is that it feels her attention is a bit more on the camera than on her mother riding. A subtle point and really a quibble. A fine portrait nonetheless. Link to comment
pjmeade 12 Posted January 2, 2006 She was looking at my wife and then she looked at me. I haven't changed the colour space for this one, so it's a little colder. Best wishes for 2006. Peter Link to comment
blowingsky 0 Posted January 2, 2006 I prefer the looking away portrait a bit more. Feels like I'm looking in on her and her world and not engaged with the subject. Both are quite lovely. Best also to you and yours in 2006... Link to comment
pjmeade 12 Posted January 3, 2006 I may make the overted eyes shot a second post. I don't know yet. Cheers. P Link to comment
josemiguelnieto1 0 Posted January 3, 2006 Un precioso retrato, con unos colores muy buenos. La odelo es muy guapa y tu has captado la piel y los ojos con muchisima fidelidad. Chapeau Peter. Saludos Link to comment
maria 7 Posted January 4, 2006 Beautiful portrait, I like the focus but most the lighting, especially since it is taken in the more difficult conditions in nature, not studio. And also the theme - it is not just a portrait, but an environmental one! Happy 2006! Maria Link to comment
colin carron 58,916 Posted January 5, 2006 Peter, I like them both. Very nice colour and light. Link to comment
LenMarriott 9 Posted January 5, 2006 Peter, I'm in the que for the more intimate, original post. More intimate for the eye contact she makes. Best, LM Link to comment
pturton 10 Posted January 5, 2006 Peter, Beautiful picture of a beautiful daughter. From the look in her eyes, I bet she is a "Daddy's girl". You wondered about the value of the 24-70 L; Just look at the colour and bokeh of this image and ask yourself again if 'L' is worth it. BTW, my newest grand-daughter, born in November 05, also shares the name Sarah. Link to comment
pjmeade 12 Posted January 6, 2006 The question is, whether to go with the 24-105 f4 IS, or the 24-70 f2.8. Cheers. Pete Link to comment
