I am not really sure what to ask. I met this girl less than a few hours ago.....

Feedback appreciated!

Should there be anyone looking for my more daring work, you can always do a search for me on photopoints or photosig where I have uploaded some of my deleted images and where I will be uploading more soon.

David, Overall the composition seems to work here. That said, there are a few things about this one that are a little bothersome. What struck me initially is the skin tone. She seems to have a bluish cast. She also seems to have a rash or something on her face. Perhaps she was blushing.

Typically, you capture a playful glance from your models. In this instance, that doesn't come across. As you stated, you had only just met this model.

What I do like is the focus on red.

I don't know where to start Laurie! The skin is bluish. This wasn't deliberate. However, if you understand that the red dress you like so much is actually green, you might understand why she looks blue. Now Laurie, I can't explain any of this so please don't ask.

The girl is only 19 and she does have acne. She was a little shy about it.

I do have other photos of this girl that are maybe a little more playful. If she lets me upload them I will look forward to your comments.

Thanks a lot Laurie. Your time is always appreciated.

Nice pic with equally nice title, wish you all the very best in this new year 2006 and hope to see nice photos all throughout the year.

This is beautiful and I wish I knew what she was thinking at the time. Don't get mad, but this would be a killer in black and whie. The mystery would increase. Only a suggestion.

Owen, You may not believe this but I think you may be right about black and white. This girl suits it very well! I may upload more photos of her later. She hasn't seen the pics herself yet.... apart from this one!

Owen, Just for you, I will try to take some more black and white stuff. I would hate for you to think of me as a lost cause!

Jim, I think you might be a little over optimistic with this photograph but I do appreciate the sentiment.

I agree with Owen on the b&w.

That said, kudos to you for NOT blurring/softening/glamourizing the facial skin to eliminate the blemishes. She's a teenager. She's got some blemishes. So effing what? She's real...this isn't a glamour shot, right?

I also like the languid but sort of coy pose, and the expression on her face.

I love this young lady and the way you have photographed her.

I find just the fact that any young lady would allow me to photograph her reason enough to be optimistic. Just as much as I am sure that this young lady was flattered that you wanted to photograph her. So you both won, big time. ergo,,,,so did we. Thanks JH

First of all Jim, please don't agree with Owen on Black and White. You'll only encourage him. As far as I am concerned Black and White is a brand of Whisky! (Just teasing you understand!)

I appreciate your comments on this young girl. She is charming and I hope she will let me upload more photographs of her. She is also interested in photography and so before long you may even see some of her pictures on this site.

As for finding young women to pose for you, you might want to try taking an ad out in www.craigslist.org

Good luck and thanks again.
