A tip Please! 2

Happy New Year !!

Not in focus, it's a little bit to soft to my mind.

Loic, photography is more than technical aspects. In some instances it has purpose, in others is purely aesthetics. There is an instance that to me overrides all the others, it is storytelling. This picture says a lot and, hopefuly, makes us think a little bit about life. Here I see shame and it makes me sad. She seems to be ashamed to ask for a tip, she hopes to get the photographer's attention for the tip but not to be "seen" doing so.

Yo estoy de acuerdo con David en que tu de veras capturaste a una senora que de veras tiene verguenza en pedir. Tu foto no solamente refleja eso pero tambien respeta el orgullo de la mujer. Una toma maravillosa y de veras representante de la condicion humana. Gracias por compartirla.

I love this fantastic image and the statement of David is absolutly correct, IMO.

I agree with David too. The artistic and human interest are very strong in this shot and look deep into the woman's world.

Curra, se que este es el tipo de imagenes que te gustan: denunciar situaciones injustas, lo unico que si hablamos de calidad de la foto, ya es otra cosa: luz muy dura, muy contrastada, no esta enfocada (con el sombrero/mano en foco seria genial), y esa sombra de una persona (quizas tu), que se cuela en el primer plano... sorry... pero entiendo tus motivaciones al sacarla...

Vamos por partes: La sra esta bajo un arbol y saca la mano con el sombrero al sol, no hay sombra mia ni de nadie delante de ella , si te fijas (y es algo nuevo para mi ) en el ecuador a las 12, la sombra es absolutamente vertical. En cuanto a la luz tienes razon, pero ya veras cuando vayas , si la luz a mediodia es mala para foto, la misma luz a 4000 m de altura , es aun peor. En cuanto al enfoque lo veo donde voluntariamente lo puse ,en el sombrero...absolutamente vacio. Quizas si debiera trabajar con ella un pelin mas en el PS. La postura de la sra, lo que esta haciendo creo que ha bajado mi guardia de horas de pshorno.

Una imagen (desgraciadamente) demasiado comun en Mexico. Creo que si es necesario un poco de mayor trabajo en ps para bajar bastantito esas luces tan fuertes que borran los colores.

This picture, out of focus and with a rash, hard, light depicts the sad reality of everyday suffering.

Sometimes is necessary for us, affluent and privileged people of the tiny minority of the well being and the good life, to remember tha the vast majority of humankind live on less than 1 dollar a day.

Certainly, they live out of focus.

Very much out of focus, do not forget it!!

And many times with no shelter against such rash sunlights...
