pjmeade 12 Posted December 31, 2005 Hello Sondra, I like this a lot, the tones are superb and the wind blown waves are excellent. Had you thought of composing this with more sea on the right? Very best wishes. Peter Link to comment
larry_mobbs 11 Posted December 31, 2005 ...are a little distracting if the lighthouse is the main subject but it seems just silly to be concerned about such exquisite detail. The overall image is really spectacular. Link to comment
WJT 619 Posted December 31, 2005 Well, I think this is good but would be stronger if you removed some of the foreground. As it is, I feel that there are three competeing areas of interest: the lighthouse, the crashing waves, and the foreground ocean. Cropping would bring the center down and place more importance on the lighthouse and whitecapped waves. I took the liberty of trying that out and uploaded my effort. Regards. Link to comment

jim kerr 0 Posted January 1, 2006 Sondra, You really captured the essence of this scene. The sun highlighting the mist and spray blowing from the peaks of the waves, and good shadow detail in the lighthouse and the rocks below it.....your use of your camera is beyond reproach.....Jim Link to comment
randy_bray 0 Posted January 1, 2006 Hi Sondra, Nice balance. I prefer the uncropped version, and the whitecaps on the breakers really make this photo, as well as the little amount of light coming through the Fresnel Lens on the lighthouse. I still think you need to come to Oregon though :-) Great work. Link to comment
