Good shot. I never thought of doing this one in

vertical format, therefore I ended up with part of the tree on the left. A very tough subject to photograph

Hi Sondra, I can see your time on the west coast was well spent. I shot this very scene in October when Carol and I were visiting my home state. This indeed a tough subject. You did well in composing and exposing this shot to minimize the visability of the support cables for the tree. The average person wouldn't see them at all. I think you did well in shooting this in portrait orientation also, Fianlly I'll add, you got the better light! It was really hazy the day we were there and it did not make for a good photo. Well done! Keep up the good work, if you ever want to do Oregon, contact me.

Nice shot Sondra. I'm sure it is very satisfying to have a good photo of this famous landmark.
