colin carron 58,916 Posted December 30, 2005 Good detail and dof. The background colour is good too and works well with the russet colours of the plant. Link to comment
kim_tural 0 Posted December 30, 2005 John and Colin for your nice comments. Colin, DOF is not a word ever used in my portfolio so thanks for being the first! I hear you have snow in jolly Old England. I will be over shorly to view your winter scenes. Link to comment
alexandra rauh 0 Posted December 30, 2005 Kim Stands out in front of the background ,in its dried, but remaining beauty, thanks of Your precise performance. Link to comment
kim_tural 0 Posted December 30, 2005 Everything is the same colour in late fall, all greys and browns but there is beauty to be found and we do find it, don't we? I played up the yellow tones in the Saturation tool to get this to shine a little bit. Link to comment
pnital 36 Posted December 31, 2005 And it shines Kim! the yellow on the brown dof,as well as its form, is very well done, Pnina Link to comment
w. roger keagle 0 Posted December 31, 2005 We can work these images to such a level...and you have done well on this subject...a feeling of warmth in this, I am sure the day was all but warm...Seasons greetings and wishes for a very Happy New Year to you from Linda and I. Link to comment
kim_tural 0 Posted January 2, 2006 Pnina, Roger and Pulok for the encouragement. It's nice to try this kind of shot as it was nearly impossible to take with the A20. I will have to look for something more "original" it seems. Happy New Year to you all! Link to comment

lgreene 0 Posted January 10, 2006 Isn't that wild how it has the dried leaf and old bloom next to the new bud. Oh and... DoF! :-) Link to comment
kim_tural 0 Posted January 10, 2006 Spencer, I was looking for some close up material and there were many of these on the road down from our cottage. I'm really wondering how observant I am because I don't remember what these look like in the summer. I will be even more observant from now on! Leann, Nature is hardy and always trying to regenerate. Today we are at the cottage and in all this snow and cold there are buds on some of the little trees. Thanks also for the DOF, up to 5 now :-)) Link to comment
colin carron 58,916 Posted January 10, 2006 No snow in the London area, Kim. We seem to be a couple of degrees warmer than the countryside and not high enough either. Link to comment
kim_tural 0 Posted January 11, 2006 Thanks for the heads up. Too bad, no snow for you! I wish that I could send you some. It is actually very pleasant so far this winter. January has been warmer than usual this year. Link to comment
