As part of my vacation I spent an evening waiting for the sun to go

down on a bluff near Fort Casey, on Whidbey Island, WA. While I was

sitting there, I started to notice a tiny spec, that even at full

magnification looked almost like a buoy. As the sun went down, the

spec resolved into a beautifully rigged sailboat, probably out

enjoying the sunset, as I was. This was the best of a sequence of

photos I took.

Constructive comments/criticism welcome.

Nice feeling of muted colors; the blue almost flourescing. Composition in the classic thirds. Maybe he considered options of placement of boat in frame. A beautiful photo for framing.

Allow me, dear friend Garry, to comment this with the only words I can find, taken from "The rhyme of the ancient mariner" by Coleridge:

***************

Alone, alone, all, all alone,

Alone on a wide wide sea!

And never a saint took pity on

My soul in agony.
