stormphotonet 1 Posted December 29, 2005 Looking to the west at a HP (High-Precipitation) supercell thunderstorm with a tornado and wall cloud in western Texas. The tornado is in the center just above the two trees that are close together. The wall cloud is the lowered cloud bass everything is rotating counter clock wise, around the tornado. The cloud bass in front is moving from left to right and in the rear from right to lift. Not a close up (zoom) but a wide angle. Hope that gives some feel to the storm. Shortly after this shot heavy precipitation and very large damaging hail envelops the region of rotation and the tornado Stop by and take a look. Best wishes, Ken Link to comment

kmptrgeek 0 Posted December 30, 2005 Nice shot, Kenneth. Unfortunately, here in Alabama our tornadoes are rain-shrouded. Probably the only way for me to get a shot of one is after it has already blown my house away. Very ominous feel to this shot. You captured the storm very well. Link to comment
vdhamer 0 Posted December 31, 2005 Nice landscape and less nice weather (nicert to look at than to be in). Horizon looks a bit distorted (lens, or real?). Link to comment

susan stone 0 Posted December 31, 2005 Your passion for "chasing" is well portrayed in this dramatic image, a storm like this has it's own beauty and power. The world has had some doozie's this last year. Be careful but keep shooting. Hope your New Year is full of exciting adventures. Link to comment

hadady 0 Posted January 1, 2006 Ken: Your work is inspiring. I like the "ocean wave" piece you have captured above. Keep it going. Having crossed Texas quite a few times, I remain amazed by Texas' unique cloud activity. Sure is nice to see some as skilled as yourself capturing the moments. Link to comment
