lucyhollis 2 Posted December 27, 2005 As we walked down the side of the valley to the bottom, we could see a bobbing red figure running down the other side of the valley. We met at the bottom, and the little boy clutching a few stems of flowers for us. Any comments are welcome and appreciated. Thanks, Lucy Link to comment

alban 0 Posted December 27, 2005 The frame you used slightly bothers me. It draws away the attention away from an excellent shot. I like the way how in addition to the character you also present her/its habitat. Beautiful lively and the sliding hills keep the attention focused on the kid. I like to think, interpret, that the expression on the face tells about the difficult life in the Andes. Great shot. Link to comment
mg 0 Posted February 20, 2006 Go slightly brighter on the face, sharpen it a little more for the web and upload this a little larger. This is a real winner for me, I love the face, the expression, the hat. Great shot. Link to comment
lucyhollis 2 Posted February 20, 2006 Hi Marc. Thanks for your thoughtful, contructive critique. I've sent my photos back home for safe keeping, so once I've left Peru (only a few more weeks, boo hoo!) I'll have another go at posting this. Link to comment
p_g3 0 Posted September 9, 2006 I think the composition is good as the child is nicely surrounded by the mountains and framed with dynamism. The mountains emphasize the child and vice-versa. You managed the exposure really well with good contrast and color saturation. The subject itself is vastly interesting. Traditions around the world should be celebrated, and your photo does it.
