bob_brins 0 Posted December 27, 2005 Hi, this is a very enjoyable image, partly because you call it your best effort, similar to inroducing yourself politely. The forms all seem to flow back from the light as if the light is a breeze. The light is best seen on the subject, the flower, the lightest object in the image. The composition is winning with the subject positioned against the similar forms and varios light values. You technique is flawless without becomming a rival subject in itself. Given that the light enters from the left. you might attempt "flipping" the image left to right. Somewhere, I read that the eye and intellect are trained to prefer to "read" images left to right. It would also be interesting to see this in black and white or, duo toned. Thank you, Bob Link to comment
alecee 0 Posted December 27, 2005 Thanks Bob, your callas is just as impressive. Your idea of flipping it sounds interesting but this is how I saw it in the garden and I was captured by the clean light when the evening light is fading. I'm lucky it's dead still and quickly grab this shot. Unfortunately I an unable to use a B & W version as it will be for an assignment. Link to comment
