TEMPLE OF THE CLOUDS

From my high camp on the Teiton glacier during a late Winter

traverse of Washington's Goat Rocks range. Clouds sweep over the

ice clad peaks during the long exposure as the sun sets creating a

surreal and magical atmosphere unlike anything I've seen again.

What a beautiful spot...and amazing moment in time that you captured. The cloud cover and setting sun really make this. Great job.

It must have been breathtaking ...

and probably very cold.

Mark, this is to me one perfect mountain picture. It combines everything I love: a high view over an amazing scenery, an incredible light, some stunning low clouds to soften the landscape, a slightly rough feel given the conditions, and then great photographer that you are to capture it. It has to be one of my favourite of all your amazing shots. Goes straight into my favourites.
