Trying out my Christmas present - a portable bird blind. Actually,

with mockingbirds, you don't need anything; they will let you walk

right up to them!

CHiPS, do I look like a tree??? Caitlin, this bird LOVES to pose! I can walk up very close and he/she just sits there if I don't move suddenly.

Yea, you gotta love thoes mockingbirds! The first time i saw one in Florida, he/she stayed calling above my head for 20 minuetes as I obsereved/identified (didn't have my book with me) enough time for another very amature birder to come out of her house and observe as well. Cool birds!

Caitlin, I do like mockingbirds - when I've given up getting any bird shots, one comes along and sits nicely in the light, as this one did.
