jnicholson 0 Posted December 24, 2005 Let's see, you post a bird shot, then a cat shot, and then a single feather shot...Hmmm. A beautiful picture, Kim. What I imagine a picture of a feather painted by Rembrandt would look like. Season's greetings. Link to comment
kslonaker 0 Posted December 24, 2005 Thanks, Jamie. You did get the chain of events correctly - the cat DID get this bird unfortunately! There were feathers floating in the puppy pool, so I'm assuming Miss Cleo got a cardinal! :( Link to comment

wilsontsoi 0 Posted December 25, 2005 Merry Christmas, Kim. I like the isolation of the feather. Jamie, you must be in forensic, some sort of CSI person. Very good point about the sequence of event. ^_^ Link to comment
detlef 6 Posted December 25, 2005 very Good detail Kim! Nice Composition and lightingMerry Christmas and All the Best for 2006 Link to comment
kleintje 0 Posted December 26, 2005 I guess the cat would call this her 'sweet revenge' for giving 'her' catfood to the birds... No more Christmas meal for the cat today? Despite the sad story, very nice photo, with nice details and colour tones. Merry Christmas to you and your family! Link to comment
zhua 0 Posted December 27, 2005 It's a beautiful picture, and the perfect frame colors to it. Too bad you have to hide this in the macro category, where I would rarely look... Link to comment
kslonaker 0 Posted December 27, 2005 Helmut, where would you have put it? I couldn't decide... Link to comment
zhua 0 Posted December 27, 2005 I would suggest either Still Life or Birds, both have a bigger audience than Macro... Link to comment
kslonaker 0 Posted December 27, 2005 I thought of putting it in birds, but it's only one small part of a bird, not the whole thing. :) Oh well... Link to comment
markboyer 0 Posted December 27, 2005 Nice feather shot. The background and tonality add some real interest and depth. Link to comment
kslonaker 0 Posted December 28, 2005 Thanks, Mark. This feather was floating in the dog's puppy pool. It had so much yuck on the bottom of the pool that it gave this nice reddish color. It's since been emptied and cleaned! Link to comment
aepelbacher 0 Posted January 2, 2006 A nice complement to your bird shots! :-) Nice with the black background. Link to comment
jlt 0 Posted March 3, 2006 This feather shot really stands out. The lighting is just right. I enjoyed looking at you vast portfolio. Link to comment
kslonaker 0 Posted March 4, 2006 Thanks, Jeri. Unfortunately, once in awhile I see only the feathers and not the bird! Link to comment
